Our website, mecofence.com, presents fencing products and enables business customers to submit inquiries. This policy explains how we handle information about website visitors and business contacts.

2. Information We Collect
When you submit an inquiry or communicate with us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, country, inquiry type, and message. Please provide only information relevant to your business inquiry. Do not include payment-card details, identity documents, or sensitive personal information in general inquiry fields. If you do not provide sufficient contact information, we may be unable to respond.
Website services also process technical and usage information, such as browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited, interactions, online identifiers, and technical signals used for security or measurement. 3. How We Use Inquiry Information

Inquiry correspondence is stored in our company email system. Access to inquiry correspondence for sales purposes is limited to our company’s sales team in China. We do not distribute these inquiries to external distributors or agents for their own sales follow-up.
Product updates and promotional emails
Our sales staff also use inquiry contact details to maintain a contact list and manually send MecoFence product updates or promotional emails. These communications are subject to applicable marketing rules and your choices; where prior consent is required, it must be obtained before promotional messages are sent. Submitting an inquiry does not itself constitute consent to marketing.
You may stop promotional emails at any time by replying to the salesperson or emailing [email protected]. Our team handles these requests manually and will stop promotional messages to you following your request. Necessary replies about an active inquiry are separate from promotional communications.
4. Legal Bases Where Applicable
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, handling a business inquiry may rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with business contacts, subject to the required assessment of their rights and interests. If you are personally a prospective contracting party, taking steps you request before entering a contract may instead be relevant. Being an employee of a prospective customer does not automatically make you a party to its contract.

Our sales team handles inquiries in China, including inquiries received from the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, and other markets. If you contact us from outside China, your inquiry information will be handled by our team in China.
The restriction on sales-team access to inquiry correspondence does not mean that no technology provider processes information. Our company email system is used to store correspondence, and Google processes website information in connection with the services described above. This policy does not state that all technical data or email infrastructure is located in China.
Applicable requirements for international data processing and transfers remain relevant. Submitting an inquiry does not waive those protections. Contact us with questions about the handling of your information.
7. How Long We Keep Information
We normally retain inquiries that do not result in a sale for one year. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us. A different retention period may be necessary where information becomes part of an ongoing customer relationship or must be retained to meet a legal obligation or address a dispute.
The one-year period concerns unsuccessful inquiry correspondence. It does not describe GA4 retention settings or cookie lifetimes. Information processed through Google services is subject to the relevant service settings and applicable requirements.
Deletion requests are handled manually by our team. Where applicable law requires or permits us to retain particular information, we will explain the relevant limitation when responding to your request.
8. Your Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing, or receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also complain to the competent privacy regulator, including in your place of residence or work where applicable.

You may object to direct marketing at any time. You do not need to close a business inquiry to stop promotional emails.

We limit sales access to inquiry information to our company’s sales team in China. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Our website includes links to external services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, and social platforms. When you use those services, their own privacy practices apply in addition to this policy where relevant.
